When asked how do you feel in your clothes currently, this is part of what I hear. Women feeling not their best in clothes that they have to wake up and wear every. single. day.
Stats say that only about 15% of women love their wardrobe.
So, what does that mean?
When it comes to our wardrobe, we have some blocks around showing up as our authentic selves.
And I have hunch as to why...
Do you remember a time when your mom tried to force you to wear a certain look?...Yep, I do. Hated it.
Or do you remember dressing up in your absolute favorite outfit & someone criticized it!...Yep, deflator.
Or maybe you have a best friend that just looks good in every damn thing so you try to buy similar things but it just does not look as great?...Yep, shit didn't work.
Trust me, I've been there & it's is absolutely exhausting. And the worst of is, over time, as we "add on" the layers of criticism, opinions, people-pleasing, job-pleasing, we are so far away from our center. Our core. Knowing who we are and how we want to show up in this world.
If you are readying this, you have (more than likely) awakened 13,000+ days (YES, 13K days), gotten dressed, felt hum-drum about it. Trust me...there is a better way to live.
Wouldn't it be awesome to feel...
...when you get dressed for your day. You may be thinking it's not possible to do that...let alone do it everyday. But I'm here to share with you that it is. And it has nothing to do with perfection or the most expensive outfit or even being "on trend".
It's all about being YOU. Yes, you. Getting back to the core. Stripping off the layers to let your light shine. The light that is uniquely you.
So, Char, that sounds amazing but how does this relate to clothes?
Well beautiful, personal style is simply an external representation of who are internally. It's an expression of you. A way for us to visually communicate our personality, lifestyle, values in a snapshot image.
Simply put, a chance to be you, in allllll your glory 😃
Today, choose to be you.
